What is BLRS Technical Assistance?
BLRS Technical Assistance offers you free over-the-phone or in-person access to the expertise of the BLRS staff, as well as our partners and grantees in the Business Responds to AIDS/Labor Responds to AIDS (BRTA/LRTA) programs.

Developing workplace policies—Developing a clear, comprehensive workplace policy on HIV/AIDS is a critical step in managing HIV/AIDS issues in the workplace. Accessing workplace programs—Using our comprehensive databases, the BLRS staff will locate for you information on organizations in your area-such as public health departments, civic groups, and AIDS service organizations-that provide workplace HIV programs, as well as regional and national experts < link to Expert Perspectives> to help you with those programs.
Implementing the 5 core components of BRTA/LRTA programs—Understanding these components is only the beginning of managing issues related to HIV/AIDS in the workplace; thorough and knowledgeable implementation of workplace programs is critical to their success. BLRS Technical Assistance staff can help you apply the 5 core components, and we can put you in touch with experts in your area who can design and deliver programs that meet your workplace needs.
Obtaining workplace materials and policies—What are your ongoing responsibilities as a business or labor union? The BLRS staff can assist you with identifying and understanding relevant policies, as well as obtaining workplace materials (brochures, posters, videos, and guidelines) that address the 5 core components of BRTA/LRTA programs and help assure successful workplace programs.
Delivering presentations and training at conferences and workshops—The BLRS staff, partners and grantees are available to provide free presentations and training sessions at local and national events focusing on business and labor.
